Since 1996, WOWOW PLUS has operated two channels for digital satellite, CATV, and IPTV platform. We also operate a wide range of businesses including planning, production, and sales of video content; licensing as well as delivering television programs to hotels and other commercial establishments.
In the broadcast business for corporations, against the backdrop of increasing inbound visitors, there is increasing demand for foreign language broadcasts from lodging facilities, tourist-related facilities and other corporate facilities.
In response to this change in the market environment of our customers, we have established "IiDS" as a means of simply enabling the introduction of foreign language broadcasts, which has traditionally been difficult to provide due to the high costs of signal reception equipment and other infrastructure and the hurdles involved in handling the rights.
IiDS
The international broadcasts, which previously could only be received through foreign satellites, will be provided to hotels and other commercial establishments using the Internet. The International channels internet delivery service called "IiDS" will be beneficial to hotels, inns, universities and other corporate facilities as a measure for inbound visitors.
Going forward, we will continue to work to increase the value of this service, such as increasing the number of channels provided, so that it can be used successfully by customers as part of the measures for inbound visitors.
